Proud to have delivered the first six of twelve new pumping appliances to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, as part of the service’s ongoing investment in modernising its fleet 🚒

Chief Fire Officer / Chief Executive Rick Hylton said: “We’ve listened carefully to feedback from our firefighters, and as a result, we’ve made improvements to the fire engines. By introducing innovative features such as improved breathing apparatus stowage and cutting-edge safety systems, we are prioritising both firefighter safety and operational efficiency. We are proud to lead the way, setting the standard for fire appliances in our region.”

Built on a Scania CP28 chassis, this latest appliance features an 1800-litre water tank alongside a 100-litre foam tank, offering plenty of capacity for a variety of incidents.

Inside the cab, our eCabControl system provides crews with an intuitive interface to manage lighting, sirens, door access, the light mast and more — all from one central screen.

To support quick and easy access to BA sets, we’ve also integrated custom-designed stowage lockers fitted with drop-down brackets, making preparation for entry safer and more efficient. 🔥

We’re heartbroken by the news from Oxfordshire and stand with the fire and rescue community during this incredibly difficult time.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families, friends, and colleagues of the two firefighters and member of the public who sadly lost their lives.
