Emergency One Announces Leadership Change as New Managing Director Takes the Helm

Emergency One, the UK’s leading manufacturer of fire and rescue vehicles, announces the appointment of Steven Bell as Managing Director, effective October 1, 2024. This follows the decision of Mike to step down from his role as Managing Director after 17 years of distinguished leadership. Mike will continue with the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mike has been a part of Emergency One for nearly 30 years, having joined as an engineer in 1996 and becoming Managing Director in 2007. Under his leadership, Emergency One has grown to supply over 90% of the UK’s fire and rescue services and expanded significantly into international markets.

“For me, stepping down as Managing Director is a major life change, but the time is right for both the company and myself,” said Mike. “I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved, and I’m confident that Steven, along with our talented Board of Directors and management team, will continue to drive Emergency One’s success. I’ll remain fully supportive in my new role as Chairman and will be available to help guide the company in any way I can.”

Steven Bell joined Emergency One in 2012 following the acquisition of Clan Tools and became a Director in 2019. He brings extensive experience from both the fire and rescue service sector and Emergency One’s internal operations. As Managing Director, Steven is set to build on the company’s strong foundation, leading its next phase of growth and innovation.

“I am honoured to step into the role of Managing Director and to continue the legacy that Mike has built,” said Steven Bell. “Emergency One is a unique company with a passionate team, and I look forward to working with all of our employees, partners, and customers to take us to the next level.”

Emergency One remains committed to providing cutting-edge solutions to the fire and rescue industry and will continue to innovate under Steven Bell’s leadership.
